One of the most popular heart-opening asanas is the Ustrasana, or Camel Pose. To practice this pose, kneel on the mat with your knees hip-width apart and your hands on your hips. Then, slowly arch your back and bring your hands to your heels, pressing your hips forward and lifting your chest towards the sky. Hold the pose for a few breaths, feeling the stretch in your chest, shoulders, and thighs. Release the pose by bringing your hands back to your hips and slowly coming back to a neutral position.
Another great heart-opening pose is the Bhujangasana, or Cobra Pose. To practice this pose, lie on your belly with your palms on the mat, next to your shoulders.
